HIIT + Yoga
How Can we Help your Yoga
Yoga Sculpt is the most sequenced Yoga + HIIT Training sequence available.
For those of you who are unaware, before turning to yoga, I was an athlete in college. Even though I practice yoga daily and teach yoga often, my love for combining HIIT with yoga is my favorite way to connect my athletic routes with what I something that I love.
On my Get Loved Up App and my series with Alo Moves, you’ll see that I have a lot of Yoga HIIT and Yoga Sculpt workouts! Combining high intensity workouts with yoga I’ve found is an effective way to give your body optimal results in such a short amount of time. Whether you’re an athlete, a yogi, or both, these workouts are an excellent way to stay fit, healthy and toned.
With that said, I want to share some of the factors of combining yoga with high-intensity interval training (HIIT) that motivate me to practice this daily:
It Enhances Your Strength & Flexibility
When doing yoga HIIT, you are combining bodyweight exercises with the stretching, breathing and mindfulness of yoga. This is an excellent way to ensure that you are not only getting a full body workout by strengthening your bones and muscles, you are also enhancing your body’s flexibility and mobility each time you practice this exercise.
It will leave you feeling energized and empowered
Although HIIT workouts typically require you to a burn a lot of energy, HIIT combined with the breathing and mindfulness of yoga will create the energy that your body needs to keep pushing forward. After a yoga HIIT workout, your whole body will be circulating with positive energy that will remain with you for the rest of the day. On top of that, your body will feel stronger each time you practice this workout.
Encourages relaxation through the mind and body
connection of yoga
Anything that involves yoga puts an emphasis on breathing and making sure that you are connecting with your mind and body. When combining yoga with HIIT, you must make sure that you are listening and connecting to your body to ensure that you are making the most out of your workout so that you aren’t causing any injury or harm. The yoga portion of yoga HIIT will help put you in a relaxed state of mind after the intensity of the HIIT portion of the exercise.
Improves your heart health
High-intensity interval training is a wonderful workout to get your heart rate up, while the yoga portion of this workout will assist your heart rate as it slows down. Practicing yoga HIIT daily is a great way to give your heart exactly what it needs to maintain strong, optimal health.
Not to mention, a yoga HIIT workout does not require a whole lot of time and that’s one of the reasons why I enjoy it most. It is something that can easily fit into your schedule, and at the same time, you know that you are burning body fat while increasing your body’s flexibility.
